Q: stomach pain?
I been having stomach pain since Monday and I took medicine I already had my period this month. The pain only happens in the night when am about to go to bed and in the morning the pain goes way. And when I eat a few hours later my stomach start to hurt me again. Someone please help answer my question am in pain.

A: Greasy or high fat food and acidic food like citrus juices, carbonated drinks should be avoided. A tablespoon of Coriander seeds is a natural home remedy for stomach aches, to be eaten after meals. Check out http://www.aches.in/homeremediesstomachache.html for more info.

Q: Stomach Pain?
My stomach started to hurt yesterday around dinner time… I ate dinner and I exercised. After a while, my stomach started to hurt. I don’t know why but like a dull pain stuck around until right now and I don’t know why stomach keeps hurting. I don’t think I ate anything wrong yestersday. I don’t have any other symptoms except my stomach pain. Pain extends all the way to my back next to my spinal cord. And I think the pain is directed mostly to my upper abdominal area. I just don’t have any appetite too. Ugh… Anybody dealing with the same thing or knows what is going on? Please help.. and Please don’t post rude answers because I’m seriously in pain and I want opinions as to what my pain is all about… Thanks..
are gallbladder stones or problems be possible even if I’m 15?
oh sorry.. i think it’s mostly on the upper regions of my abdomen and around the middle region..
and when I press on the region.. it hurts more when I’m pressing in..

A: The pain going into your back seriously sounds like the gallbladder. Gallstones can be irritated by high fat foods or dairy. They block the bile duct and the pain is from constant spasms trying to unblock the stone. An ultrasound can show if you have them, but I would back it up with bloodwork just to be sure.
Well, according to my doctor, gallstones are being seen in more and more women these days. They are basically little balls of solidified cholesterol, and estrogen seems to make them form faster. I used to feel nauseous as well, so probably just watch what you eat, see if high fat foods or dairy bring the pain on. If it gets worse, just see your doctor.

I think your best bet would be to see the doctor if it keeps up.

Q: Stomach pain?
Everytime about a half hour before i eat lunch I start to get a stomach ache. Once i eat lunch i get extreme abdominal pain and bloating that persists for the rest of the day. It’s sort of a gassy pain but not quite, and if i poke or suck in my stomach its a sharp stabbing pain. It sounds a lot like the symptoms of lactose in tolerance, however I know it is not because I occurs no matter what i seem to eat.

Anyone have similar symptoms or know if this is a certain condition ? Also what can i do to help it?

A: This could be symptomatic of an ulcer or irritable bowel syndrome (also known as a spastic colon). You need to discuss this with your doctor; you might have to go for tests, like a barium enema or an EGD. The best thing to do before going to your doctor is to write down a list of symptoms, exactly when they occur and what happens. Knowing these specifics could help your doctor narrow down possible causes.

Q: Stomach PAIN!?
I have SEVERE stomach pain at the moment, and I’m also really hungry, but the stomach pain doesnt have anything to do with my hunger, I can tell. What snacks either relieve stomach pain or keep it from getting worse? Please help im in pain.

A: Try a hot water bottle or a electric blanket, but you must definately seek medical attention. could be something else and not your stomach

Q: STOMACH PAIn?
SO LATLEY I HAD BEEN DOING SIT UPS AT NIGHT JUST BECAUSE I WAS BORED

IVE BEEN DOING THEM FOR LIKE A WEEK OR SO AND IVE BEEN GETTING THIS WIERD STOMACH PAIN IN LIKE ONE LITTLE SPOT

THE OTHER DAY IT WAS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY STOMACH AND TODAY ITS TOWARDS THE RIGHT SIDE OF M BELLYBUTTON…IT CHANGES

AND IF FEELS AS IF SOMEONE IS LIKE POKING ME WITH THERE FINGER IN MY STOMACH(BUT NOT TOO HARD)

AND ITS NOT LIKE A THROW UP STOMACH PAIN,BT NOT REALLY A SORE MUSSCLE PAIN EITHER

ARE THE SITS UPS WHATS CAUSING THIS??

A: I would say that the sit ups are the cause. When you work out for a long period of time or do a lot all at once and you just started or you haven’t worked out in a while then you will get those pains. It is because your muscles have weakened over time and they are out of shape. You can keep doing the sit ups, and that would be the best thing, so your body gets used to you doing physical activity more often. Good Luck!

Q: How does one differentiate between stomach pain from taking Plan B and stomach pain from an ectopic pregnancy?
Stomach pain is a typical side effect of taking Plan B but there is also a small risk for an ectopic pregnancy, which has a symptom of stomach pain. How does one tell the difference? What other symptoms would indicate an ectopic pregnancy rather than just typical side effects of Plan B? Thanks.

A: Plan B prevents pregnancy just days after the woman has sex. An ectopic pregnancy takes just as long to implant as a normal pregnancy, 7-10 days. An ectopic pregnancy has pain located mostly on one side and may move to the center of the abdomen. It’s extremely tender and the woman may have nausea and dizzyness. Hope that helps.

Q: Is stomach pain after drinking a symptom of a serious problem?
My friend has been sick after drinking and she is complaining of stomach pain. Is there anything to be worried about?

A: Possibly stomach ulcers.

Q: What can cause frequent stomach pain that lasts many hours?
So lately everyday I’ve had really bad stomach pain and it feels real tender. What could be causing this? Cause to go to the doc? And no there’s no possibility of pregnancy. And its not anything I ate cause I’m eating different stuff but still get bad stomach pains and it lasts hours and hours.

A: No way of knowing since it can be anything, maybe it’s IBS. Sounds like a trip to the Dr is in order since there’s no way anyone can tell just by your description.

Q: What is the best way to cure stomach pain?
My stomach hurts so bad. I try medicine and it doesn’t work. I want to get rid of the pain and I have to go to school tomorrow. I never missed a day in the 9th grade and this might be my first absent. It hurts really bad. I try using the restroom to do number 2 but that doesnt seem to be the probelm. Please tell me the best way to cure the pain fast. I will give you 10 points.

A: Try Pepmo-Bismo

Q: What could constant stomach pain lead to?
I get a horrible feeling in my stomach every day before school and during school. It lasts in the evenings, too, and sometimes I wake up in the night because of the pain. I get that gut wrenching nervous feeling you get before a big job interview or something like that. Stress is definitely the cause of the stomach pain, but I would like to know if it could lead to something serious. Please help!

A: Could be an ulcer. Could be stomach cancer. You have to get that checked out. It just sounds like stress to me.

Q: What are my stomach pain & cramps and back pain when I swallow food symptoms of?
I had ask a similar question before but I think wasn’t clear enough. In the last 5 days I started to get stomach pain & cramps and sharp back pain when I swallow food. Taking a sip of water helps with the feeling like the food is getting stuck. The pain only occurs when the food is being swallow, and not after I eat. I think its getting better with time but I’m not if it go away. I think I will see a doctor soon, but someone online told me most likely all the doctor will do is schedule me for testing a another week. I really want to know what are symptoms of since none of my symtoms don’t match any illness 100%.

A: It sounds like something may be causing your esophagus to be irritated. Reflux can do this and you could have erosion without knowing it. If your back pain is up high between your shoulder blades I would think GERD or gallbladder. Also you may have choked or something and the reason it is getting better is because your muscles are now relaxing. Try eating something really soft like ice cream and if that goes down easy but still causes pain I would think it would be a GI problem and reason for a visit to the doctor.

Q: What is the cause of my uncomfortable stomach pain?
Everyone once in a while (including right now), I get this extremely uncomfortable stomach pain, kind of shooting pains throughout my lower abdomen. Sometimes it keeps me awake, and at times I can’t move a muscle in my body because it hurts so bad. I know this isn’t the most ladylike thing, but it is occasionally accompanied by gas. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be?

Q: What is the name of my condition? Severe stomach pain when hungry?
Basically I developed this condition a few years back, but it’ve grown increasing worst recently. Everytime I’m hungry my stomach would start cramping, the pain has become unbearable in the past few days. Feels like I just got punched in the kidney. Eating would ease the pain.
Anyone know the name of this condition and what could happen if it’s left untreated?

A: If the disease is mild it may be called as Gastric Pain which often occur due to overeating or non-eating. If the disease is severe, it may be Ulcerative Colitis or INguinal Hernia. You are advised to consult Gastroenterologist or a surgeon for further investigations and treatment. And if it is left untreated, it may leads to death too.

Q: What is a medicine that kids can take that relives stomach pain?
I need a kind of medicine that’s not liquid or a pill that kids can take and it relives stomach pain. It need to be able to fit in my small purse.

A: Pepto Bismol makes chewable tablets that kids can take to relieve a variety of stomach problems, I’m sure you’ve heard the commercial jingle (nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea… hey, Pepto Bismol). Rolaids and Tums also make chewable antacid tablets, that have a different active ingredient and only treat indigestion/acid reflux.

Q: Stomach Pains?
I got SO sick last Thursday (vomiting, etc). I thought it might have been food poisoning… but there is really no way to be sure.

I was sick all day Friday, felt a little better Saturday (but couldn’t eat), and am gradually starting to feel better, but cannot seem to kick the stomach pains.

I have tried to not eat things that would irritate it (ex: greasy foods), and have taken tums, but it seems like my stomach churns with everything I eat, leaving me with no appetite.

Any suggestions to stop the stomach pains?

A: Hi! I am an Herbalist and a Reiki practitioner, and I I have quite a bit of experience. What it sounds like to me is that you either have an acid stomach or the beginnings of an ulcer. Along with seeing your physician, I recommend Marshmallow root (soothing and absorbing), Licorice root (if no cardiac problems…if so, then Cinnamon) and Ginger (wonderful for nausea). All are very healing to the stomach, and will really help…and no side effects at all, other than the Licorice root which I mentioned. However, Licorice root is specific for ulcers and acidity so if you can use it I highly recommend it.
I am at windstarhealing.com if you have any questions, or feel free to contact me here. Best wishes!

Q: Stomach pains?
Since friday I’ve had stomach pains, my mom has it too.
It’s in my upper stomach, right below my ribcage a bit above my belly button.
How can I get rid of this, since it really bothers me
are there any home remedies?

A: “Stomach pains” may be too vague of a description for us to help you. Your description of the location of the pain doesn’t seem to indicate that it’s in your stomach. This image may help: http://www.rogers.k12.ar.us/users/ehutches/digestivesystemimage.phtml

If you can locate the organ that you think is hurting, you may want to do some searching on the Internet. You can, of course, see a doctor, since both you and your mother are sick. Sometimes February ends up being “National Gastroenteritis Month”.

Q: stomach pains….?
what are the differences between intercourse stomach pains and menstrual?
Because i dont know if my stomach hurts from intercourse pains or if my period is on its way.but the pain i have is off and on.menstrual cramp pains sticks around. but this pain i have is off and on

A: Intercourse pain? Never heard of it. I think you should see a Dr.

Q: What is the cause of stomach pains and lower back pains?
Today I started getting stomach cramps and my stomach was growling like i was hungry but I wasn’t, it was an empty feeling. Later in the day, my lower back on both sides started to become a little painful. Also, my ribs have been feeling a bit uncomfortable for the past couple days. Not painful, just discomfort. I recently started birth control and i’m not sure if that’s what’s causing the pain. I also started running a bit in the mornings for 5-10 minutes. Any ideas of what’s causing these pains?

A: It could be anything in a list of 100, including changes in your body due to the new meds. Contact your GYN first to see if they are common complaints for that med. If not, see your Family MD and get a complete physical.

Q: Is it normal to get stomach pains and twinges when 5 weeks pregnant?
I am 5 weeks pregnant and i am experiencing some stomach pains and twinges, nothing too major and they aren’t constant but as this is my first pregnancy i just wanted to get some advice. Is this normal? I am so scared that something is going to go wrong for me, i do not get much good luck and hope n pray that this pregnancy is a healthy one.

A: Yes. Your uterus is stretching and this will cause some mild cramping.

Q: What does it mean when you have stomach pains straight after sex?
I have just had sex, and i have these stomach pains, its not in my lower abdominals like cramps with periods but the actual stomach…. What does this mean?

A: could have an infection or need a pee

Q: How do you get rid of very odd and confusing stomach pains?
My friend has these stomach pains which are subject only to her stomach. She says she is sure it’s not constipation and also says when she bends over her waist lines hurt. She cannot use the rest room (take a number 2), and hasn’t vomited. She says it’s a “sharp” pain in her stomach and not the feeling you get when you are going to vomit. What could it be?

A: It could be a few things … from simple gas to appendicitis. Take her temperature. High temp. usually means infection. Try an indigestion medicine. It might help and won’t harm.

Q: What kinds of stomach pains normal during pregnancy?
So I keep having these random stomach pains. they are like a pinching fealing and a mild, but uncomfortable. im not sure how far along i am yet, but pretty early. the pains are in different spots throughout my stomach area, below my ribs and down. I’ve been really gasy though, so could that be it?

A: well i am pregnant and i have been expeirincng these (pinchings) too. but that doesnt for sure mean you are pregnant. but gas is also i sign of pregnancy as well as, sore nipples, spoting, no period, movment in the uterus or sore and swollen feet.

Q: How can I reduce stomach pains or nausea using natural remedies?
I just wanted to know what I could use to alleviate stomach pains besides medicines? I’d rather not drink any dairy products being lactose intolerant. Are their certain teas or anything else that coud help?

A: You could try an enema filled with jello.

It may not help your nausea, but it will give you something to do.

Q: What could be causing me to have stomach pains after i eat?
For the last 2 weeks, i have been having stomach pains after i eat. It starts about 20 minutes after i eat, and feels like a knife stabbing me in the stomach. I also get hot flashes, feel light-headed, and dizzy, like i am going to throw up, so i lay down. It only last for about 1 hour at the most, and then i am perfectly fine like nothing ever happened. This only happens after i eat. But i noticed that if i just eat 1 small bite of food, then i am fine. If i eat a full meal or even a large snack, then i get the pains.

What could be causing this? I know i dont have a flu or anything, because i dont have any of those other symptoms, and this only happens after i eat.

A: heartburn, acid reflux, stomach ulsers maybe. You need to make an appointemt and get seen. find out what is going on, get some meds so you can eat or you could get really sick. In the mean time eat slowly small meals and try to not lay flat when you rest. Sit up a little and that could help.

Q: What could be a cause of my stomach pains?
Lately, I’ve been having stomach pains after I eat. Right after my stomach feels uneasy, and sometimes I feel like I need to vomit. I never have though. It doesnt seem to matter what I eat. I also seem to be getting hungry faster. Right after I eat my stomach will growl and I still feel hungry, but I also feel sick. Does anybody know what could be wrong? I dont want to go to a doctor yet incase its not very serious, so Id like to get an idea of what could be wrong.

A: there could be a range of reasons why your stomach act up after you eat.
it could be that you eating habits aren’t normal causing irregular acid buildup within the stomach or it could be gas.

explain how long u’ve been having the pain & does it radiate or move to anywhere else.
try using an antacid 1 hr after eating.

Q: Can stomach pains be related to the time of day?
I get stomach and intestinal pains if I eat in the morning.
This is not related to food, I have changed my diet several times.
This is not related to sleep, the same thing happens if I wake up in the morning or if I’ve already been awake all night.

What might be causing this? How can illness be specific to the time of day? Could this be psychosomatic?

Any information is appreciated.

Q: Why do I keep getting really bad stomach pains before my period?
I have never suffered with period pains, but over the last year i keep getting really bad stomach pains just before my period.
The pain is so bad i have to lay down and curl up. Once it starts, its with me all day and seems to get worse if I eat or drink anything.
I came off my pill to see if that helped but its exactly the same still.
Can anybody help?
Once my period starts I am fine.

A: Its called PMS

Q: What is causing my very bad stomach pains?
I’ve been having very bad stomach pains for about two weeks, what could be causing this? The pains are coming from my left side by my kidney area. Please help.

A: Your probably eating something that makes your stomach upset.

Q: Why do have stabbing pains in my stomach after intercourse?
Sometimes after i have sex with my partner i get stomach pains, like im being stabbed with a knife. why is this?

A: I heard people say it could be a tilted uterus or something. Also it could be he’s hitting the cervix a lot, or if you come it could be due to muscle contractions. Also some gynaecological conditions like endometriosis or an ovarian cyst can cause this. Also some people say it can just be normal with all the bumping from sex especially if it’s rough. Go to your doctor…

Q: What is this lower left side stomach pain?
I’ve been getting this really weird pain in the very bottom left side of my stomach and it doesn’t go away. I thought it might be gas but it’s not. I can’t feel anything by touching it but the pain kind of goes away when i push on it. I went to the bathroom so it’s not constipation and i’m afraid to take any pills not knowing what it is! i’m not sexually active so its not any type or pregnancy. Please help!

A: u could be lactose intolerant. i was getting this pain on the left side under my ribs for so long. i didnt know what it was, but that area always swelled up like a bubble was in there.

Turned out to be lactose intolerance. as soon as i cut out the dairy, it was gone THE NEXT day. try it. if it works, then u probably developed lactose intolerance. it usually developes when people reach adulthood, for those that get it.

Q: why do i have right side stomach pain?
i have pain and discomfort in the mid right side of my stomach for some time now, it comes and goes, but does not feel like gas. i’ve been taking MDS for a year now but not for this problem. what could be the problem? who should i go see?

have you had an mri or ultra sound?

Q: What causes lower left side stomach pain During early pregnancy? About 7 weeks?
I’m about 7 weeks pregnant and I have been experiencing lower left stomach pain it’s pretty strong sometimes and goes away every once in a while. when I put pressure on the area that hurts it gets worse. It this normal? what could cause this?

A: It’s your ligaments stretching and preparing for the growth of your uterus, it’s caused by hormones. If it is like or worse than your period cramps or you have bleeding or spotting you should go to the ER or your doctor asap!

Q: 30 weeks pregnant lower stomach pain on the left side(right at belly button level?
I have this pain in my lower left side stomach( right a belly button level) that seems to come whenever i eat its a dull ache/stabbing kind of feeling it pretty mild but im still woried. I have heartburn, constipation and excess stomach acid could any of these be the reason why im feeling this pain?? or is this something else??

A: Sounds like Ligament pain. It would happen after you eat, because your stomach is expanding, and there obviously is already very little extra room!! Definately call your doctor, so that they can rule out anything else, but I wouldn’t be too worried!

Q: my friend is complaining of right lower side stomach pain?
My friend is having sharp pains in her right abdomen and spreading to her back, she has nausea and fevers, with low grade temps, and sometimes sweating. – she has no ovarian cyst or not pregnant she also DIDNT have sex.

whats wrong with her?

Thankyou

A: The only safe thing to do for your friend is to have her see a Dr. What you described could be a few different things. Appendicitis, a right sided kidney infection or kidney stone for example. All of these conditions should be treated by a Dr. and you cant know whats wrong unless she is seen by a Dr. and he runs a few tests so he can make an accurate diagnosis. Even if it is something minor like a stomach flu, at least if she sees a Dr. you’ll know it and can stop worrying about her. Good luck!

Q: I’ve had this pain in my whole stomach for many years. It only happens after i run, but its not side pain.
I’ve had this stomach pain for many Years. It only happens after i run, not during running. It is not a side pain, but the whole stomach. I’ve seen the doctor and says nothing is wrong with me. Has anyone had this pain before?

A: are you drinking enough water and breathing properly while running? those are two things that sometime cause me stomach pain after running (not having enough water and not breathing properly cause the stomach pain).

good luck

Q: Sharp stomach pain in the lower right side when I stand up?
I am getting a very sharp pain in the lower right side of my stomach, i feel ok but get a sharp pain that takes my breath away when I stand up.It doesn’t happen all the just every so often but when it come it is really really painful!!

A: pain on the right lower quadrant could be associated with appendicitis. If you push on that side and quickly release and it causes intense pain that is rebound tenderness and is a sign of an inflamed appendix. It could also be an ovarian cyst. Each month you develop one of those if you have a normal menstral cycle. They will burst on their own and usually don’t cause any symptoms unless they get too large. It could also be some bowel gas and you may be constipated? Call your doctor and tell them your symptoms. Do you have an appetite? Most times with appendicits you won’t feel like eating anything. Do you have a fever? Go see the doctor and good luck.

Q: Severe Left Side Stomach Pain?
I have been having severe pain (burning type pain) in the left side of my stomach just below my ribs. It feels better when I apply pressure to the area. I have had trouble passing gas also. The pain was so bad I have been in tears. Any suggestions as to what it might be? I don’t know even what to look up online for symptoms.

A: The gas is the problem. You could try those Windeze tablets which help me ,or try some bicarbonate of soda to see if that helps . If simple measures don’t work see the doctor or ask a pharmacist . It could be IBS, that usually manifests itself on the left side .

Don’t bother clicking the links being given ,they are rip-offs trying to sell you expensive drugs .

Q: why is there pain shooting up from my left side of stomach?
left side of stomach..pain shooting up..it hurts..but its not like..omg i m gnna die hurt..its just like..ow wtf that hurts ..u kno any idea wat it culd be..

Q: Lower Right Side Stomach Pain?
since late november i been having lower right side stomach pain. i had a ultrasound back in december to check for appendicitis, and nothing showed up. Its not severe pain but when i push on my lower stomach it feels like a cramp. do u think this is appendicitis im scared to death to get that and dont want to go into surgery. i mean its been like this on and off for 3 months. can someone let me know..thanks
yea this is all good info, i should say that again its not severe and what i get told is that if this was appendicitis it would of happened already. I been back and forth to doctors for the last 4 months, im very healthy nothing wrong at all. so its pain right by my belly button..not severe..thanks for the help

A: It could be due to colic. To try out some home remedies you can look for information and visit sites in the web that provide you with necessary details. I found this website very useful. http://aches.in/cramps.html

Q: Muscles catch & pain on the lower right side of the stomach, is it normal?
In 19 weeks of pregnancy sometimes my wife is getting muscles catch on the lower right side of the stomach & pain , is it normal in pregnancy? or should i meet a doctor? please suggest me!

A: It sounds like round ligament pains. The muscles in her stomach and around that area are being stretched and pulled, so it unfortunately is just part of pregnancy. Maybe a warm cloth will help…but never use an electric blanket. ;)

Q: lower back, side, stomach pain?
for about a week now i’ve been having pain in my lower back, side and stomach. Sometimes the pain will go up my spine to. It gets worse when i move a certain way or after doing some type of activity. Also if i lay on one side the other will hurt. Any idea what this could be?
i wasn’t really doing anything. one night my side just started hurting then it turned into back, sides and stomach.

A: Sally P has given you very good advice, but needs a lesson in manners. Yahoo Answers is a great place for advice. Someone with the same issue could be reading your problem and have solved it. Like me. I had these same pain issue’s and it turned out to be a disc ruptured and buldging into the spinal chord. So go see your doctor and get well soon! Nerve’s are nothing to take lightly.

Q: Bad Stomach pain left and right side of body?
I have this horrible pain on the left and right side of my body near stomach. IT hurts really bad.

I just smoked a part of a blunt with a gf but she didnt get it. I ate some chocolate ice cream but not that much. help!
Its a numbing pain!

A: It could just be because you ate all the ice cream at once (assuming you got the munchies that bad.)

It could also be gas (try to fart it out.)

If it’s been too long and it still hurts, I would see the doctor.

Q: medical question if a person has pain under left breast and hyperventilates stomach pain an coughs blood?
I have a friend who is suffering and has a pain under her left breast which causes hyperventilation and stomach pains as well as coughing blood been happening a couple weeks
she is 19 from japan an been in hospital for a week she said her dr dosnt know yet whats wrong sorry forgot to add that… I am worried bout her an was wondering what it is only found out bout it from her today she is scared…

A: This sounds more like a bleeding ulcer to me. When the blood comes up it chokes her so she coughs and thinks she is coughing out blood.
The pain under her ribs and the stomach pain fit in more neatly with a stomach problem.

Q: i have a lower left stomach pain and anything helps because im scared?
im only 15 and its not a side cramp because i know what that feels like and its not cramps either. you can see the thick blood vessels thru the skin and im wondering if that may be a cause but it hurts inside lower left. When i run it hurts even more.

A: You could have a cyst on an ovary or you’re having bad gas pains or your bowels need to move more. Drink lots of water, you must have plenty of water in the bowels to keep them working well. If it is gas, moving around will work it out. A hot water bottle will help the pain and try a Tylenol. Try not to run much. No, thick blood vessels have nothing to do with it. If it doesn’t get better, see a Dr.

Q: What is this pain in my lower stomach, left abdomen and lower back?
I did not strain it. I do not have to use the bathroom. I am not on my period for another week and a half. It is a dull constant pain, sometimes a bit strong enough for me to hold my breath. The pain is on my left side abdomen, lower stomach, in my left pelvic area and mid to lower back all on the left side.

A: This could be related to a build up of gas around that area (an example only, but I have had it happen to me before).

This could also be related to ovulation type pain since your period is not due for another week and a half (another example only).

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.

Q: Sharp stomach pain in left side along with numbness?
I have had this sharp pain in the left side of my stomach and some numbness on my left side. What could cause this?
the numbness is gone..has been …but i have had stomach pains for 4 days now

It feels like the pain is comning from my left ovary?

A: Have you ever jogged for longer than you wanted and you get that pain in your side. Does it feel like that?

If the pain is on your left side and since you mentioned the other symptoms it sounds like Diverticulitis.

Usually the pain is more extreme with diverticulitis but here is a short read about it.

A: it may be a muscle strain but any kind of sharp pain in your abdomen or chest areas should be looked at by a doctor. it could be a big internal problem, or maybe its nothing. i would really just get it checked just in case it was something serious.

Q: Really bad stomach pain on left side. I have been diagnosed with IBS?
I recently had an energy drink and it hit me bad. I am in severe pain on my left side and I usually take a buscopan and it sometimes works. I have no buscopan right now so i was wondering if anyone knows anything similar to take.

A: Chamomile and a Gas-X…

Q: Sharp pain in my left lower stomach?
Last night i got a sharp pain through my lower stomach on the left. It went away in seconds. Today i got in and sat down and every time i put strain or moved so it would touch my lower left stomach the pain felt like stitches but much more painful. Does anyone know what might be wrong or a website i can go to? I do not really want to go to the doctors in case it is nothing!

Q: I have a pain in my stomach, left of my belly button, what could it be?
I have a pain in my stomach, left of my belly button, what could it be? It doesn’t really hurt, and sometimes I can ignore it, and I don’t notice it. I feel it when I take a deep breath, stretch, and laugh really hard, or bend down while sitting to pick something up. It feels more like a bruise. I don’t feel a lump or anything. Just feels like something is in there.

Anyone?

A: Appendix.

Q: Sharp Stomach Pain On Lower Left stomach?
My brother has sharp stomach pain on his lower left stomach. He has small dots that bleed on his stomach. What could this possibly mean? What exactly is wrong with him?

A: See a doctor.

Q: pain on the left stomach Abdominal Pains?
My girlfriend is suffering sharp pains on the left side of her stomach from the chest down, she says its like a knife stabbing pain, and she cries soo much when the pain gets unbearable, She went to see her GP but wasnt given much advice on what the problem could be soo therefore was not given any medicine, she was also adviced not to take any pain killers. What could this be has any one else felt a pain like this? Im very worried about her health.

A: I’m not a doctor, but her symptoms sound alot like a gall bladder attack. Does she get sick to her stomach after eating sometimes, especially after eating greasy foods? It’s a shame that GP’s aren’t more helpful (I’ve had the same problem with mine). Take a look at www.gallbladderattack.com to see if these symptoms make sense to her. If so, she should take that information back to her GP and insist that her gall bladder be tested. Good luck!

Q: What does lower stomach pain after sex mean?
My boyfriend and I had sex tonight and after wards I had terrible lower stomach pain. We’re monogamous and the only people we’ve ever had sex with. We had sex for about an hour, then we stopped. We ate dinner in bed then we had sex again. The minute he entered me it started hurting, but I figured the pain would stop. About halfway through, it hurt so bad I was crying and hyperventilating within 5 minutes of stopping.
Has anyone else had this problem?? It hasn’t ever happened before, and I’m really curious as to what it is.

A: Honestly I have no idea what this means because I have been asking my doctor this same question every time I go see him. But if you find out please let me know.

Q: Bad lower stomach pain that I cant walk normal during pregnancy?
Is it normal to have really bad pain in my lower stomach so bad I cant walk during the first few weeks of pregnancy? Or should I be concerned?

A: I would call your doctor. I had period cramping, that was uncomfortable, but not painful. If you can’t walk, because it hurts so bad, you definitely need to be seen by your physician. Call them tell him/her what is going on.

Q: Can lower stomach pain be linked to a UTI?
I know that I have a UTI currently, and I am trying to get to the doctor for it.
Today, I had pain in my lower stomach that felt like menstrual cramps, but I am on the pill so I know my period will not be for another 2 weeks.
Could this be bladder pain, or something else connected to my UTI?

I’ve only ever heard of lower back (kidney) pain with UTIs, and I don’t have that.

A: from what i have experianced (and yes i have experianced alot of harsh UTI’s) no the lower pain doesnt have anything to do with the UTI
i could be wrong
GO TO THE DOCTOR before it gets worse, the stupid little pills you get that you can just buy doesnt work. dont take them before you see the doctor, it will make it harder for him/her. this happen to me before. when you see the DR ask him or her about it

Happy UTI-ing

Q: Im 5 months pregnant and i have a lower stomach pain,What is that?
Im 5 months pregnant. and i’ve been getting this really bad pain in my lower stomach and it hurts so bad . What is it and what should i do?

A: Hey girl, this could be completely normal. I just had an appointment with my doctor and asked the same thing.

Around this time (I’m 5 months too) your uterus stretches and begins to move towards your diaphragm. As the ligaments stretch you feel a pain kind of around where your legs connect to your torso. It is usually a dull pain, but can be sharp. Try to change positions, avoiding laying flat on your back.

If you have any cramping or bleeding at the stage, it is NOT normal, and that is when you should definitely contact your doctor or ER nurse.

Good luck!

Q: 30 weeks pregnant lower stomach pain on the left side(right at belly button level?
I have this pain in my lower left side stomach( right a belly button level) that seems to come whenever i eat its a dull ache/stabbing kind of feeling it pretty mild but im still woried. Q: Is pooping a lower stomach pain a sign of labor?
i am 37 weeks not dilated have braxton hicks contraction every once in a while but i have been getting sharp pain in my middle to lower stomach and i have been pooping alot am i close to going into labor has anyone had this?

A: Not much room left inside so your bowel and bladder get squashed so you need to go more often.

An episode of daiorehea is not unusal in pre labour – its your system clearing itself out ready for labour.

Q: Lower Stomach Pain That Moved Around to the Side of the Back?
Okay, my sister has had stomach pain that had then moved to the side of her back (its been 1 week since the pain started). She is around her 40s. However, she does not have any other symptoms besides the pain. We went to the doctor and they said to come for an X-Ray. But I would like to know if any of you guys could tell me what could be the cause of this pain?

A: Best guess would be a bladder infection that has spread upward to one of her kidneys. Be sure she goes right away, since long-term damage can occur if she is not treated soon.

Q: What can this lower stomach pain be?
Sometimes when i run i get this minor lower stomach pain to the right side right above my hip bone kind of but a little bit towards the middle and it doesn’t hurt when i press or anything. It just hurts with the bounce of my right step…. I hope i’m making sense.. it is only sometimes and its minor pain. What can this be? Also when i press it while i run it seems to get better. I sometimes also get pain in the same area while im laying down, it is sharp but it goes away fast and it is only for a couple of seconds.

A: Sounds like you’re bumping something inside your tummy, like an organ or a bladder or some other soft tissue, maybe a softened or damaged membrane from too much running. Doesn’t sound muscular.

I would advise asking the question again in General healthcare – there are a lot of people there who could probably help you out better.

And if it doesn’t give up in a few weeks or months, see a doctor and get an MRI.

Good luck!

Q: have pcos, and take 500 mg of aldactone,i have breast tenderness, lower stomach pain, and i keep throwing up?

Q: groin and lower stomach pain after drinking?
idk.

i’ve been drinking all day.
i have pain in my legs, groin, lower stomach and abit in my back.
i don’t know what it’s from, if drinking all day was the cause or something else?

the pain hurts.
but it’s not terrible, just anoying. i cant sleep.
and it’s worrying me.
anyone know what it could be?

A: 1) Acute drinking binges often can cause some transient swelling of the liver. Since the liver is in a dense “capsule” or sheath, when it swells it hurts.

2) Binges can also produe a lot of irritation to the stomach lining – and cause pain.

3) The pancreas frequently is irritated by binge drinking . These would be the most likely culprits.

Q: 30 Weeks tomorrow and woke up with some pain in my lower stomach?
Okay i Have a Couple Questions

1.This morning i woke up with some lower pain in my stomach and some beside my belly button it lasted about 5mins or so could this just be because of the way i lay in bed at night?

2.When i wake up in the mornings i hurt down there where i have to pee so bad i have to walk slow to the bathroom its like he is laying on my bladder? i mean he is kicking and everything i just dont understand these pains someone help!!!

A: Well as you get further along it will get worse. I am 28 weeks with number 2 and I notice that just getting off the couch will put a lot of pressure down there…seems as though as soon as I get up she drops right down. The stomach pains could be a combo of the way you and baby were laying. Whenever I move to a different position i notice she will also adjust herself…they actually have equilibrium now and like to be in certain positions.

Q: I have lower stomach pain, and vomiting everything I eat. Is this the stomach flu?
Is there any way to treat this because I honestly feel like Im going to die. Also when I try to sleep, should I sleep on my stomach or back because every position I try to sleep in, The pain is just too much.

A: Abdominal pain associated with vomiting of _everything_ you try to eat is something you should seek medical attention for. Especially if the pain is as bad as you describe it.

Vomiting can be quite a non-specific symptom – it can be caused by anything from a viral infection to flow blown acute abdomens. Abdominal pain can be similarly non-specific, but if you are vomiting all oral intake, then it is more suggestive of a more serious cause (including possibly a bowel obstruction), and you should get to a doctor soon – you may well already be dehydrated, etc.

Q: lower stomach pain could i possibly be pregnant?
i have been having lower stomach pain and i have been having what i might think is implementation bleeding also i have had cravings for pizza and mayo and been peeing a lot is that i sign that i could be pregnant.

Q: How can you help that intense lower stomach pain you get that leads to diarrhea?
I don’t have any pepto bismol, isn’t that supposed to help? It hurts so bad, the pain goes away for up to a min. and then comes back, all I did was drink half a soda in the middle of the night to feed my baby :’(

A: In Australia we have a product called Buscopan which is just magic, it’s stops the spasms associated with diarrhea, so check it out : )

Q: what besides appendicitis causes lower right stomach pain?
I have very intense lower right stomach pain. It is much worse upon standing and very painful upon standing after voiding. I know its not appendicitis because three of my children have had ruptured appendices so I know what to look for there.
I do not have a fever or nausea bowel function is normal. I do not have health insurance so I can just go to doctor if its something minor. But this pain is so intense that I walk like a very pregnant woman! (I am not pregnant!)

A: go to the hospital, they’ll bill u later. They can’t refuse a patient because they have no health insurance. It’s illegal. They’ll bill u. Deal with the payment later

Q: what causes lower back pain & stomach pains puls the occassional nausea?

Q: If I’m having back and stomach pain and still having what seems like a regular period could i be pregnant?
ive had unprotected sex and ive had stomach pain for 3 days and now im starting to have back pain at the same time. im on my period, i think it seems normal and its at its regular time of the month.ive never had cramps or anything before my period does it mean im pregnant?

Q: 39 weeks pregnant with back pain and stomach pain?
I am 39 weeks pregnant. I posted a question earlier kinda similar to this. Right now at this time I am sitting on my couch with back pain and some mild upper stomach pain. The pain is mostly in my back. Yesterday I did have some off white/yellowish discharge, only like 2 tablespoons. I am going to the doctor tomorrow morning for my check-up. The back pain earlier was just constant and now it is kinda coming and going away. When my back pain goes away my upper stomach will hurt.

A: You might need to call your doctor tonight.

Q: IUD with stomach and back pain after eating?
I got an IUD put in on monday and it is Sunday. For the first 2 days I had bad cramp like pains in my stomach. Pain went away for Wednesday and came back on Friday. I’m now having really bad stomach and back pain. The stomach pain occurs after I eat, or it worsens after I eat. I usually handle pain well. I’m worried that something is wrong, what is causing the pain?

A: Hard to say, best to go back and see your doctor if you are worried. It might be totally co-incidental and nothing to do with your IUD.

Q: Lower back pain, stomach pain and some blood in my phlegm. I am a smoker and it hurts to cough or breathe hard?
Hurts mostly when I breathe deep or move in a weird way. Hurts in both my back and front in same approximate position. I smoke dope and that is it, but not sure if that is it. I could have hurt it golfing and hurt my back, but would my stomach hurt in the same place (few inches lower than breastbone)??

A: If you are coughing up phlegm and blood from your lungs, you need to see a doctor immediately, as you may have lung cancer. The phlegm isn’t really such a big deal, it’s the blood that worries me. If you’re coughing a lot, that might be where the pain is coming from, but it might also be something else.

I can’t stress how badly you need to see a doctor for that. I was coughing up phlegm from my lungs for a week and when I got to the doctor it turns out that I have pneumonia right now, and I’m really sick because I should have gone sooner. If the meds don’t work, looks like they’re going to have to give me a shot in my backside, which really doesn’t seem pleasant at all. The sooner you go, the better.

Q: Why do I have back pain & stomach cramp when I eat?
PLEASE HELP ME! I’m IN Serious Pain. In the last 5 days I started experiencing stomach pain & cramps when I eat. Its feels like the food is stuck, I usually have to take sip of water. I feel sharp pain in my back when I eat also. Its strange because I only feel pain when I eat. I think its getting better with time, but I’m not sure if will go away. What are these symptoms of? So far I haven’t found any illness that matches my symptoms?

A: Could be your gallbladder. That is what that sounds like especially if it is intermittent and has been going on for a while. Also likely if it gets worse when you eat fatty or fried foods. Get to a doctor. Hopefully a G.I. doctor. Ask about: Ulcer, Gallbladder, Appendix, Hernia, Diverticulitus, Food Allergy, and Lactose intolerance Good Luck

Q: can occur off and on stomach and back pain in first month pregnancy?
My wife is one month pregnant and she is feeling off and on stomach pain and waist pain from few days and sometimes the pain is severe for 1 or 2 minutes and sometime she feels normal. This pain occurs 3 to 4 times in a day, what should i do?

A: nothing it is very normal, u tend to get all these symptoms due to pregnancy as body start changing its shape so don’t worry and can’t do much about it as u cannot afford to have Strong medicines that can harm the child inside i myself had back pain and joints pain through out my pregnancy.

Q: I am 9 days late and at the begining of last week I had nausea, upset stomach, back pain. Can I be pregnant?
I feel fine this week. Except for stomach pains once in a blue moon. I have regular periods. And they usually come on the exact day or a least during the week that it is suppose to come.

A: You certainly could be pregnant with all of those symptoms including back pain. Back pain can start very early in your pregnancy depending on your hormone levels. Get a pregnancy test. Then read more about early pregnancy back pain here:

Q: Can I have lower left back and stomach pain from a gallbladder infection?
Ive been having like a burning feeling in my back for the last week and a half, and just last night my lower left part of my back started hurting. And today my lower left part of my stomach started hurting to. What could this be?

A: this sounds like you are trying to pass some kidney stones. make your self some strong lemon aid, and drink it 3 time s a day for 3 days if the pain is still there you may have to see your doctor. the lemon will help dissolve the stones so they will pass more easily if they are to large it will take medical help. hope you feel better. I just went though this too.

Q: 10 dpo and having back pain and little stomach cramps?
If I am pregnant, does this mean I am most likely to have a miscarriage with the symptoms so early?

I have heard that in real early pregnancy pains in the lower back and stomach could be the first signs of a miscarriage.. Is this true??

The cramps I have are more like a pulled muscle pain..

Thanks in advance!

A: Don’t panic or worry yet. If you start bleeding call your doctor.

Q: i have weird lower back pain and stomach cramps?
i am 20 years old, sexually active but on the pill im starting my seven day break today but for the past couple of weeks i have had back pain and stomach pain not every day though it comes and goes i don’t think its anything to do with my period as the pill calms them down. don’t know what it could be help please.

A: I would suggest going to the doctor, asking them. They’re the professionals! But from the sounds of it, it’s probably something Kidney related.

Most birth control pills require you to get blood tests every month.. I’m not sure why yours doesn’t. I would go to the doctor if I were you, if it’s kidney related it could be serious.

Q: Can you help? Why do I have severe stomach and back pain about 30min. after eating ?
I am afraid of eating as I have severe stomach and back pain after a meal. The pain stops about 2 hrs later with me going to the bathroom (mostly diarrhea). I had a blood test and everything seems fine other than the doubled eosinophil evel. This indicates a parasite but my doctor believes it is rather an infection. However, taking Metronidazole, Amoxicillin and Pepto Bismol for two weeks did not help. Any suggestions?

A: have you had your gallbladder checked?

Q: Is stomach pain after drinking a symptom of a serious problem?
My friend has been sick after drinking and she is complaining of stomach pain. Is there anything to be worried about?

A: Possibly stomach ulcers.

Q: Why did I have extreme stomach pain after going through a very stressful situation?
After getting in a HUGE and STRESSFUL fight with someone I felt a burning pain in my stomach. It lasted about 2-3 hours.

This happened a while ago too when I found out my friend had passed away.
My sister told me that this was a normal feeling and that it normally happens after stressful situations.

Why does this happen, it felt so awful but also weird.

A: Grace

Try and stay away from people who put you into these situations.

You’re just not made to take this kind of stress. You’re probably a bit too vulnerable for these situations and doing yourself some harm.

But you can’t always avoid it, so try walking in a park or meditating.

Just keep yourself relatively relaxed and not too stressed about things.

Q: Why do I have stomach pain after lifting weights?
I have been lifting for two weeks. I have not increased anything, the exercises are the same. But for some reason, this last time, right after I finished lifting, I got a severe pain in my stomach on the lower right side. I had my gall bladder removed due to gall stones 2 1/2 years ago and the pain feels very similar. I tried taking ibuprofen, but it didn’t help.
How can I make it stop hurting?

A: you may have a hernia. or you could have pulled a stomach muscle. if it doesn’t subside you may want to see a doc to rule out hernia. (not sure of the spelling for hernia) good luck, hope you feel better soon.

Q: What does lower stomach pain after sex mean?
My boyfriend and I had sex tonight and after wards I had terrible lower stomach pain. We’re monogamous and the only people we’ve ever had sex with. We had sex for about an hour, then we stopped. Q: Getting stomach pain after did masturbation?
I am 29 years old man, about to marry. i have the habbit of masturbation weekly 4-5 times. Now a days i am getting pain in my stomach(bottom, and both sides) after did masturbation. Everybody is saying that Masturbation is not injure to health. But I don’t know why it is happening to me. Anybody can give me a solution to get the better sex after i get married.

A: Sriran,

Don’t listen to those kids. As they are kids, they are immature. Today, they are just learning.

Give up the habit of masturbation TODAY…! Otherwise, you may face even more problems in the future.

The traditional medical science says…
“”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”
According to the traditional medical science, sex or masturbation may be done at intervals of 35 days or more than 35 days to prevent any adverse effects on the body. During these activities, many important minerals, hormones, and fluids responsible for the following are rapidly lost.

[1] Masculinty ———-> masculine behaviour, body hair, body shine
[2] Growth of the body ———-> increase in height and weight
[3] Strength of the body ———-> density, stamina, and resistance to diseases

Why you should give up this habit

You are making your body dry, loose, weak, and impotent just for pleasure. You eat. You masturbate. It is like “a tank getting filled through one pipe and getting empty through another pipe”…..!

All the three—–masturbation, nocturnal emissions, and sex—–are very harmful to health. A man’s semen is his masculinity, energy, and life. Each time semen is wasted, his masculinity, energy, and life decrease. This is simple Mathematics…..!

How semen is formed
“”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”
Just as milk cream is the cream of milk, semen is the cream of the males’ blood. It is very precious. Semen is created by the secretory glands from the food we eat. According to a book I have read, only about 20 g semen is produced from the food that a man consumes in nearly 35 days.

(1) From 32,000 g food, approximately 11,153 g chyle is formed.

(2) From 11,153 g chyle, approximately 3,887 g blood is formed.

(3) From 3,887 g blood, approximately 1,355 g flesh is formed.

(4) From 1,355 g flesh, approximately 472 g fat is formed.

(5) From 472 g fat, approximately 164 g bone is formed.

(6) From 164 g bone, approximately 57 g bone marrow is formed.

(7) From 57 g bone marrow, approximately 20 g semen is formed.

Where semen is located
“”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"
A common misconception is that semen is located only in one part of the man’s body, and that, after the man loses it due to nocturnal emission, masturbation, or sex, it gets filled within the next few hours “automatically”. This is completely wrong…!

Semen is located throughout the man’s body, mixed with blood. A small proportion of this semen is located at one part at the centre of the body. After the man loses it due to one of the afore-mentioned reasons, the semen from the other parts of the body is brought to fill this part. As a result, the density of the blood, and so, the density of the body decreases, and the man looks a little less masculine than before. If such loss takes place frequently and over a long span of time, the man may become impotent. In some cases, the situation is so grave that the man looks like “an eunuch”.

Relation between semen and testosterone
“”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”
Another huge misconception is that there is no relation between semen and testosterone. This is completely wrong…! Testosterone is mixed with the semen itself. Each time semen is lost, the testosterone mixed with that semen is lost too. Testosterone is very important for three things:

(1) Masculinty———-masculine behaviour, body hair, body shine
(2) Growth of the body———-growth in height and weight
(3) Strength of the body———-density, tightness, and stamina

Effects of frequent semen loss
“”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”"”
According to the traditional medical science, a human male should not do masturbation or sex before the age of 24 years at least. Later, he may do sex at intervals of 45 days or more than 45 days to prevent any adverse effects on the body. Otherwise, some or all of the following effects may occur:

In short, just dreary, cheerless existence… :(

I hope you have realized that you have to preserve your semen. Hence, give up the habit of masturbation FOREVER.

PRESERVE SEMEN….. PRESERVE MASCULINITY.
PRESERVE SEMEN….. PRESERVE ENERGY.
PRESERVE SEMEN….. PRESERVE LIFE.

Q: After lying down for a while, I experience alot of stomach pain any Idea how to stop it?
I had stomach pain after a few minute of lying down, so it disturb my sleep every few hour or so. Any idea what it is?
(I’ve been working on my abdominal these few day, and i think the pain comes after my workout(don’t know if is related) and the only pills I take is calcium pills, don’t know if that matters. Hope you can solve my problem thnx

A: lol

Q: Intense stomach pain after not going to toilet?
I never used to go to the toilet during the night, and always waited until the morning. However, now during the last few days I have noticed that if I don’t go during the night, after I go during the morning I get intense abdominal pain and feel physically sick (like about to vomit). Afterwaters, I also went to the toilet again with diarrhea. My stomach feels really unsettled, until late afternoon (1pm). Why is this?, is this something that I should worry about?. Might I have IBS?.

A: Possibly could be IBS there are other medical problems with the same symptoms, so seek medical advice, also when you feel ill eat lightly, nothing too heavy and give your bowel a rest, drink lots of fluids nothing gassy. I wouldn’t worry too much probably just need to change your diet.

Q: What causes uterus/stomach pain after sex?
My wife has terrible stomach/uterus pain after we make love sometimes. She’s almost crying and once I almost took her to the hospital. Her lower stomach feels bloated now. She’s on birth control pills now and she’s 2 weeks into this month’s pills. Is this common?

A: It is more common than some people think. Pain during sex is very painful to a woman. She cries b/c of the pain and b/c she wants to please you and enjoy sex as well and that is not happening.

It could be a cyst, which will cause that kind of pain, but usually on the left or right side. It could be a bladder infection, which will cause pain directly under the navel. It could also be an irritated or bruised uterus, which will cause pain in the same area as a bladder infection. Have her lie on her back. Then you press under her navel with your 4 fingers, not including the thumb. If she is in pain, it is the uterus or the bladder and is either a bladder infection or uterus bruising.

Finally, if this this something that has just started happening, she may be experiencing vaginismus (look it up on the internet for more information). B/c of the bloating, I suspect this may be part of her problem.

She will be fine. She has to get to the source of the problem. It will not correct itself overnight though.

Q: Why do i get a stomach pain after eating a Watermelon in the morning? its even more severe on empty stomach?
Someone told me that watermelon is one of the negative calorie foods, so I’ve lately started eating a big bowl of watermelon in the morning as my breakfast, but i get stomach ache after eating it everytime… is there a problem with my stomach??.. what should i do?

A: What I was taught by my mother, some of the things that causes pain when eating watermelon is overeating the cool wonderful meat of the fruit to close to the rhine and eating the seeds. Watermelon creates gases within the digestive system, so be-aware eat small amounts and do not eat the seeds. This is an opinion from personal experience. Everyone I know has experience this problem at one time or another. A solutions that I have seen work to many times to count is take the word big out from in front of the word bowl and replace it with the word small (small bowl). Hope this helps!

Q: Why do I get stomach pain after running the mile?
After I run the mile, my stomach starts hurting really bad. It feels like a stomach ache and it makes me feel like I want to throw up. I dont think its a side stitch though. What do you think it could be? And is there any way to prevent this?

A: Most Likely because of eating or drinking a lot before the run.
EDIT- Oh wait. You said not a side stitch? Oh then never mind, sorry.

Q: does anyone have stomach pain after cold beverages ?
I have a stomach pain 5 min after having a cold beverage in upper abdomen between the ribs.Previously it was random but now i find it to be a regular thing. Its a intense pain that last for 5 to 10 min and then passes .Can anyone suggest what could be the possible reasons for such a pain or any remedy…..

A: I think you suffered from indiestion. you mustn’t drink cold beverages with empty stomach

Q: Constant stomach pain after eating an apple?
I ate an apple about two hours ago and my stomach since then has hurt. It’s just a pain that won’t go away, it doesn’t go away and then come back, it just stays the same. I feel like I am extremely bloated and the ache is right below my belly button. I am allergic to apples, my lips get very itchy, am I having an allergic reaction to the apple?

A: You might be allergic to the apple, but a more logical explanation would be that you are getting cramps. You could be constipated, or maybe your lower intestine is clogged.
You are most likely allergic to the apple, or are getting cramps. If your lips are itchy, you should put chap stick or Vaseline on it. Have you even told your parents you think you are sick? Tell them soon, and your doctor can help too. I hope I helped. This is all I could think of. Get well soon!

Q: Stomach pain after eating or because of boredom?
My son who is 12 seems to get a stomach ache when he is bored or sometimes after he eats. Does anyone know what this could be?

Q: What causes lower left side stomach pain During early pregnancy? About 7 weeks?
I’m about 7 weeks pregnant and I have been experiencing lower left stomach pain it’s pretty strong sometimes and goes away every once in a while. when I put pressure on the area that hurts it gets worse. It this normal? what could cause this?

A: It’s your ligaments stretching and preparing for the growth of your uterus, it’s caused by hormones. If it is like or worse than your period cramps or you have bleeding or spotting you should go to the ER or your doctor asap!

Q: Sharp pain left side stomach. last about 5 seconds and goes away?
im 13 years Old,ive been having this problem ffor some time i think it started around augustor july but i dont get it every day tho. its happening right now i get a pain in left stomach, lasts about 3 sec. and goes away about 20 seconds later it happens again. this doesnt happen all day. it happens in a cerain time period.

A: it may be a muscle strain but any kind of sharp pain in your abdomen or chest areas should be looked at by a doctor. it could be a big internal problem, or maybe its nothing. i would really just get it checked just in case it was something serious.

Q: Sharp stomach pain in left side along with numbness?
I have had this sharp pain in the left side of my stomach and some numbness on my left side. What could cause this?
the numbness is gone..has been …but i have had stomach pains for 4 days now

on and off

A: Could be a kidney stone

Q: Bad Stomach pain left and right side of body?
I have this horrible pain on the left and right side of my body near stomach. IT hurts really bad.

I just smoked a part of a blunt with a gf but she didnt get it. I ate some chocolate ice cream but not that much. help!
Its a numbing pain!

A: It could just be because you ate all the ice cream at once (assuming you got the munchies that bad.)

It could also be gas (try to fart it out.)

If it’s been too long and it still hurts, I would see the doctor.

Q: Pain in left side of stomach during running and jogging?
Recently I have been jogging and running at night when the time allows and I have noticed that a pain in my left side of my stomach occurs. A pain such as if someone punched me on the left side of my stomach. Obviously i’m sure you can relate to this pain if you go running right after you eat ut this pain occurs to me in every situation. Sometimes is comes right away and other times the pain is less but nevertheless is still there. How can I help this?

A: A “side stitch” is a sharp, intense pain under the lower edge of the ribcage caused by a muscle spasm of the diaphragm. Such pain can occur during vigorous exercise, such as running, and seems to occur more commonly in novice exercisers who have not yet established proper pacing and who tend to breathe more quickly and shallow. However, about 30% of all runners will experience stitches at some point. What exactly causes them? On inhalation, we take air into the lungs, pressing the diaphragm downward. When we exhale, the diaphragm moves up. If the body has some trapped air/gas below the diaphragm, if we’ve eaten too close to exercise, or if we start exercising too vigorously, the diaphragm may cramp, causing pain under the rib cage on the right side.

Q: Lower back pain, gas pain, stomach pain, left side cramping, and heart hurts?
For the past 5 days I’ve had a lot of pain in my lower back, abdominals, my left side cramps up real bad, and my heart hurts. I’ve also been very gassy and it hurts sOOO bad.

I got really sick 7 months ago with…. fever, headache, vomitting, abdominal pain so bad i couldn’t walk, diarrhea, and bloody diarrhea. I was sick for 2 weeks and had lost about 10 pounds and got very skinny. i went to 4 doctors that couldn’t tell me what was wrong….it had either been ulcerative colitis (my uncle has it which increases my risk) OR a parasitic infection called giardia that had been transmitted by a ferret i had bought 7 days before getting ill…… the doc wanted a colonoscopy but i refused…….i had a stool sample that came back negative for everything (eggs/parasites, etc. everything NEGative!)…… i was put on metronidazole which is an antibiotic which seemed to wipe it out in about a week………

but NOW i’m back to hurting again………. my symptoms are listed at the top of the question… i’ve been pooping a lot (about 3-6 times daily) and sometimes it’s diarrhea….. my pain isn’t as bad as it was 7 months ago because i can still walk BUT i’ve been trying to workout (i workout about 6 days a week, eat 1800 calories a day, and eat completely healthy)……… and I can’t workout anymore because i hurt so much……. i can still lift weights but i can’t do cardio or elliptical…… i have gas pain sooo BADLY on a daily basis no matter what i eat…..

Can anyone offer advice or something that can fix this????? i’ve tried gasX and beano but they didn’t work……

A: I don’t believe it’s gallstones because they are usually triggered by eating fatty/greasy foods, which you stated that you eat healthy.
I’d advise going to the doctor in case of something more serious.

Q: pain below stomach left side?
I just woke up, and felt this pain on my left side, below my stomach. About every 30 seconds, there is a sharp pain, and when this happens, my foot also feels weirds, but it is just a quick sharp pain, but then I don’t have any pain until the next time. but my foot still feels weird the whole time. What could this be?

A: Well if you were a girl, I would say ovarian cysts.. that’s what it feels like to me, minus the foot symptom. Are you sure the foot thing is related? 0_o

It could be ulcers, or perhaps just an awkwardly placed stool, or even gas. Shouldn’t be anything to worry about, unless it continues for more than a day.

Q: left side stomach pain..babymaking sex?
I have a pain on the left side of my stomach today.. seems like I am ovulating. if I have sex with my partner about 10 hours from now, will be still be chances of me getting pregnant this month?

A: good
the egg hangs around for 2 days or so
they say the best way to increase your chances is to skip the day you ovulate and have sex for the next two days (and the two days before you ovulate but we’re passed that)

good luck!

Q: persistant stomach pain mainly left side feels like period pain?
For more than a month now i have been having radom spells of persistant stomach ache and strange bowel movements (diahhrea, constipation) I thought i was having period pain but when my peiod didnt arive for another 2 weeks then i new it wasnt now i have finished my weeks peridio the stomach pain is coming back more. It feels like the pain is comning from my left ovary?

A: Have you ever jogged for longer than you wanted and you get that pain in your side. Does it feel like that?

If the pain is on your left side and since you mentioned the other symptoms it sounds like Diverticulitis.

Usually the pain is more extreme with diverticulitis but here is a short read about it.

http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/tc/diverticulitis-topic-overview

Q: Upper stomach pain, left side, period like cramps….?
I know I’ve posted this already but its too early for a HPT. (due in 13 days for period)

For the last 3-4 days I’ve been having sore nipples, sore breasts. I’ve also had upper stomach pain: Like I did when I had a gall stone. I know its not a gall stone as I had my gall bladder removed. My whole stomach feels yuckie, i have period like cramps. No appetite.

My husband and I aren’t actively trying to get pregnant but if it happens we both feel that’s what God wants for us. The only prevention we use is birth control, and I know that’s not 100%.

Am I just worrying over nothing? I know, TAKE A TEST closer to my period time, mostly if I miss it.

I guess I’m more hopeful then my husband to get pregnant. But with pregnancy’s, do you get upper stomach pains?

Thanks!

A: Honestly there is no way to tell, those cramps could just be an upset stomach. Or you could just be giving yourself pregnancy symptoms b/c you want to be. You just have to wait and test. Good Luck

Q: What could cause stomach pain right after I eat, and I gave birth less then two weeks ago?
I had my son on the 9th, and since then have found very little time to eat. But when I do eat, RIGHT after my stomach feels like it is just aching with pain. I don’t know what it could be… anyone have an idea??

A: Where is the pain and what are you eating? If it’s more towards your right under your ribs and you’ve been eating fatty foods I would guess it’s your gallbladder. It’s extremely common to have problems with it after giving birth, it’s the hormones. You will need to see a doctor though as some of the time you need to have it removed.

Otherwise you just need to find time to eat a bit more often, even in small amounts. Keep handy foods around like nuts, granola bars, protein bars, and even find time for a quick bowl of cereal.

Q: why do i have right side stomach pain?
i have pain and discomfort in the mid right side of my stomach for some time now, it comes and goes, but does not feel like gas. i’ve been taking MDS for a year now but not for this problem. what could be the problem? who should i go see?

A: what medications are you on?
it could be a list of things, gerd, gall stones, gastroenteritis, ibs
is it possible for you to see a Gastroentenologist
have you had an mri or ultra sound?

Q: 30 weeks pregnant lower stomach pain on the left side(right at belly button level?
I have this pain in my lower left side stomach( right a belly button level) that seems to come whenever i eat its a dull ache/stabbing kind of feeling it pretty mild but im still woried. I have heartburn, constipation and excess stomach acid could any of these be the reason why im feeling this pain?? or is this something else??

Q: what causes upper right stomach pain?
i have been having this upper right stomach (near to the center of the stomach but more on the right side) i have pain amost everyday it comes and go (sometimes it can continue to pain for a few days) im very worried that it might be an ulcer/liver problem that cause the pain

A: Right Upper Quadrant pain can be a few things, however the first that comes to mind is Gallbladder. Pain in the RUQ radiating to the back, worse with eating especially fried or fatty foods. Also the 3 F’s…Fair, Fat and 40…fair skinned, overweight and near or over 40…does this fit? Could be ulcer, but I would expect that pain more centralized. Liver problems do not typically cause pain…just elevated blood tests and Jaundice(yellowing of the skin, eyes and under the tongue). If you develope a fever, have nausea, vomiting and or diarrhea…see a doctor. Good Luck!!

Q: For the past few days I have had a slight headache with lower right stomach pain that comes and goes.?
The stomach pain is mild. Sometimes it isn’t there at all. I also have been sleeping a lot and have been very fatigued. Sometimes I have an empty feeling in my stomach. Can someone explain what may be the cause of these symptoms. Thank you and god bless :-)

A: I hope Eric isn’t having his period, Andy……

Check on appendicitis.

Q: what causes lower stomach and lower right stomach pain?
Sharper pain when u move, use the bathroom, laugh and just having pains all the time

A: could be acute appendicitis. Call your doctor’s office and ask to speak with the nurse. Describe the symptoms. If there is concern, they will tell you to go to the hospital.

Q: Lower right stomach pain and back pain?
My husband and I have been TTC for a month now and my period isn’t due for another couple days. I’m not sure if I’m preggo or not, but today I all of sudden couple push slightly on my right lower stomach and it hurts like a pinching hurt. Then, it will radiate to my lower right hand side of my back. Any suggestions? This just happened and is currently happening. It’s nothing severe, just something you notice. Any ideas?

A: It could be an ovarian cyst which usually come and go without problems, sometimes they take a few months to go away. With your period coming there’s more pressure in there probably. Also, a more serious thing would be ectopic pregnancy. I’m not a professional so that’s a shot in the dark.

Q: lower right stomach pain?
I have a pain on the lower right side of my stomach. i don’t really think it’s appendicitis because it doesn’t hurt when i push on it or let go, and it’s really low, almost where your thigh meets your abdomen.

what could it be? last night and slightly this morning, i had pain going straight up and down on my right side of the abdomen, almost in the position of where your large intestine would be.

this pain hasn’t been going on for a long time, maybe an hour or so. it hasn’t gotten worse. thanks!

A: Could be appendix or if you have eaten anything that causes gas like lots of dairy it could just be plain ol gas pain.

Q: Upper right quadrant stomach pain?
I’ve had a rather slight consistent pain in my upper abdomen right around the lower portion of my ribs. At first, I thought possibly my floating rib was just doing some funny stuff, but at times it can become really painful. It is also hard to touch when compared to the other side. I can actually feel a difference in the opposing sides when laying on my stomach.

any ideas?

A: Still have your kidneys? Maybe your drank a lot and liver is hurting? Stomach is inflamed? Many different reasons. Something is swollen or something foreign might be in the body. Eat healthy foods, and drink lots of water to flush your system. Seeing a physician who has equipment to look inside you is best bet.

Q: stomach pain on right side of belly button?
my gf has a really sharp pain ons the right side of her stomach right next to her belly button and it hurts her like hell and it hurts her to breathe and she can barely move…anyone know anything we can do for right now? We can’t go to the doctor cus its too late and we can’t afford it and she’s not taking any meds or isnt doing any drugs or isnt pregnant or anything like that

PLZ HELP!!!
and no she’s not on her period either

A: Sounds like some intestinal gas. Has she been constipated?
If you have a heating pad, place it on her stomach, on warm.
This is gonna sound weird but I learned it from a gastointestinal nurse….. get a can of veggies or something, it doesn’t matter what….and gently roll back and forth over the area with the pain.
If that doesn’t help and she has been constipated then go get her some Miralax, it is the best OTC laxative. A little expensive but has no taste and works fast without cramping.
Good Luck! You are a good boyfriend!!

Q: Emmense pain in right side of stomach?
I woke up about an hour ago with emmense pain in the right side of my stomach. The pain is very sharp and is now all through my lower back too. Please help!

A: um im not a doctor but you need to go to one ASAP…i don’t mean to scare you or anything, but it could be apendicitis….or your appendix might have ruptured…if you don’t go to a doctor soon you could have some REALLY BAD consequences….best wishes and I’ll pray for you
God Bless,
~gaprariegirl~

Q: UPPER RIGHT STOMACH PAIN?
I HAVE HAD PAIN IN THE UPPER RIGHT PART OF MY STOMACH FOR MONTHS NOW. ABOUT 3 IN. TO THE RIGHT OF MY BELLY BUTTON AND ONE INCH UP. IT ISN’T ACCOMPANIED BY ANY OTHER PROBLEMS IE. NAUSEA, DIARRHEA, CONSTIPATION. I HAVE HAD BLOOD WORK DONE, ULTRASOUND, HYDASCAN, CT, XRAYS AND DOCTORS CAN FIND NOTHING. THE PAIN IS REAL, SOMETIMES A DULL ACHE EXCEPT WHEN YOU TOUCH IT THEN EXCRUCIATING PAIN. I KNOW- DON’T TOUCH IT, BUT YOU NEVER REALIZE HOW MUCH YOU TOUCH A PART OF YOUR BODY UNTIL IT HURTS- BUMPING STOMACH INTO THINGS, LEANING OVER SOMETHING, PICKING BABY UP AND HE TOUCHES IT WITH HIS FOOT. I CAN PIN POINT THE PAIN. HAS ANYONE OUT THERE HAD PAIN LIKE THIS? DID YOU FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH YOU? I WILL DO ANYTHING- ALREADY SPENT $1000′S OF DOLLARS. EVEN CONSIDERING GOING TO IRIDOLOGIST THIS WEEK. (THEY READ YOUR EYES) SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE.

A: Sounds like your appendix. Are you sure this has been ruled out? Happened to me

Q: Why do I have stomach pain in the lower right side?
My stomach has had pain on and off since yesterday evening. Shortly after it started my right leg was hurting. When I went to bed I could hardly move. I also felt as if I were going to vomit. Today it is not as bad, but have no energy and my body is shaking somewhat. I still fell as if I may vomit. I do not know if this will help but I am 17 and am not pregnant.

A: Three possibilities come to mind: appendicitis, sever intestinal obstruction, hernia. All of those require a prompt visit to the doctor or ER.

Q: What could cause terrible upper stomach pain?
My fiance experiences regular heartburn but for the past hour he has been having a completely different type of pain in his upper stomach. It is so bad that he can’t get comfortable and it won’t go away! At first I thought it was gas but he’s taking Gas X and even a pamprin…still, nothing has helped. If you have any educated or past experience suggestions or advice, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

A: It might be an ulcer. The acid might have created one and now he’s feeling its effect, which is stomach pain. He needs an upper stomach endoscopy test done.

Q: what could be causing my upper stomach pain?
For the past two day I have had this upper stomach pain. It feels like pins and needles, and tender to touch. Pain comes and goes, but worsens after meals. Now today I have a metallic taste in my mouth. Any ideas?? I hate to go to the DR and pay my copay for gas or something. Not pregnant, not on any medication.

Q: Does constpitation cause you to have upper stomach pain and be nauseated? Or could it be more like pregnancy?
I usually only feel nauseated at night….but the upper stomach pain is on and off.

A: Why don’t you try taking an enema or some laxatives and then see if you still feel the same way after you poop. If you are severely constipated then it can cause nausea.

Q: 30 weeks pregnant and have bad upper stomach pain?
When I lay on my left or right side at night. I have this sharp like constant pain in upper middle part of my stomach, right where the fetus line starts. I told my doctor but, he did nothing about it. So do think it could be just my organs being squish together, or could it be the baby kicking and punching in that area. Please I need your advice because it really hurts.

A: i would say this is indigestion,You probaly ate some food that just didn’t set well.If it gets worse get a 2nd opion, after all you and ur baby r most important. If you do feel like it might be indigestion than you could take (Tums Ultra). It has calcium in it.My doctor recommend it to me because i had the same problem & I would not drink milk. best of luck 2 u.

Q: Upper stomach pain during third trimester?
I’m 33 weeks a 2 days pregnant, and this is my 3rd pregnancy. I did a lot of walking around today because we went shopping for the entire baby’s room. When I got in the car I noticed that the upper middle part of my stomach hurts. I mean it isn’t a sharp pain, more like a muscle pull type of feeling. The baby has been moving like normal, so what could this be? I know i’m just being a worry wart, but it bothers me.

A: My sister had those exact same symptoms in her 2nd trimester it was because she was dehydrated. You need more water.

Q: Upper stomach pain that’s more severe at night?
So my grandmother is a 68 year old, borderline diabetic and had gallbladder removed a few years ago. She has been complaining that her upper stomach hurts constantly and gets worse at night? She is already on prilosec for acid reflux, but says this pain is different. She has lost around 60 pounds in the last year because she says it hurts after she eats. Doctor has done a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy and found nothing, any idea’s?

A: Get a CE CTscan of abdomen done to rule out pancreatic pathology (in old age pancreatic Ca present just like APD)
Best wishes

Q: What could be a cause of upper stomach pain??
I have pain right where my rib cage parts, the spot below where the sternum is. It is just like a stomach ache, but higher up. I know there are alot of diferent things it could be, but does anyone have any theories of what it could be??

A: It sounds like your stomach acid might be out of balance.
Drink a small glass of water with a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice in it. It corrects the acid balance in your stomach.

Q: What can cause upper stomach pain?
My girlfriend has experienced pain in the upper stomach, which sets in worse when she eats (as opposed to being relieved by eating). She also reported feeling better when she ate vegetables, instead of fatty foods. What could be the possible causes of this discomfort?
I forgot to mention that she leads a very stressful life and bad eating habits, since she is studying architecture and it often is a demanding career. I thought those might be important factors.

A: Probably her gallbladder, she needs to see her family doctor. They will order a whole bunch of tests (blood work and at least an ultrasound to check for stones). Its a common problem!

A: I had similar pain. I found that I was constipated. The American diet using white flour and sweets is not good. I started fasting the evening meal and taking castor oil about once or twice a week. Castor oil tastes nasty but works the quickest for getting the bowels moving. I have lost about 30 lbs and could stand to loose about 30 more, but now I feel much better.

Q: My mom has been having upper stomach pain(feels hard, bloated, tight)?
I was just wondering if anyone knows how to relieve that, she refuses to go to the doctor.
She hasn’t eaten in 2 days, she says that her upper stomach feels constantly full and sometimes hard.

Please help

A: She should get it checked out because I felt the same way before and I waited forever to go to the doctors, I couldn’t sleep, eat, or do anything active, when i went to the hospital they said it was pancreatitis, inflammation of the pancreas, I had to stay in the hospital for a week and i’m only 14. She might have inflammation in the stomach or something.

Q: My one friend has upper stomach pain and uterus pain are these systems to anything?
