Q: what causes lower back pain & stomach pains puls the occassional nausea?
Have been having lower back pain sometimes on and off, with nausea or stomach pains.

A: There are a lot of things that could cause these symptoms, I would suggest that you see a doctor. It could be nothing but I am not a doctor.

Q: If I’m having back and stomach pain and still having what seems like a regular period could i be pregnant?
ive had unprotected sex and ive had stomach pain for 3 days and now im starting to have back pain at the same time. im on my period, i think it seems normal and its at its regular time of the month.ive never had cramps or anything before my period does it mean im pregnant?

A: no, ur body is just changing. But u still should go to the dr.

Q: What are my stomach pain & cramps and back pain when I swallow food symptoms of?
I had ask a similar question before but I think wasn’t clear enough. In the last 5 days I started to get stomach pain & cramps and sharp back pain when I swallow food. Taking a sip of water helps with the feeling like the food is getting stuck. The pain only occurs when the food is being swallow, and not after I eat. I think its getting better with time but I’m not if it go away. I think I will see a doctor soon, but someone online told me most likely all the doctor will do is schedule me for testing a another week. I really want to know what are symptoms of since none of my symtoms don’t match any illness 100%.

A: It sounds like something may be causing your esophagus to be irritated. Reflux can do this and you could have erosion without knowing it. If your back pain is up high between your shoulder blades I would think GERD or gallbladder. Also you may have choked or something and the reason it is getting better is because your muscles are now relaxing. Try eating something really soft like ice cream and if that goes down easy but still causes pain I would think it would be a GI problem and reason for a visit to the doctor.

Q: 39 weeks pregnant with back pain and stomach pain?
I am 39 weeks pregnant. I posted a question earlier kinda similar to this. Right now at this time I am sitting on my couch with back pain and some mild upper stomach pain. The pain is mostly in my back. Yesterday I did have some off white/yellowish discharge, only like 2 tablespoons. I am going to the doctor tomorrow morning for my check-up. The back pain earlier was just constant and now it is kinda coming and going away. When my back pain goes away my upper stomach will hurt.

A: You might need to call your doctor tonight.

Q: IUD with stomach and back pain after eating?
I got an IUD put in on monday and it is Sunday. For the first 2 days I had bad cramp like pains in my stomach. Pain went away for Wednesday and came back on Friday. I’m now having really bad stomach and back pain. The stomach pain occurs after I eat, or it worsens after I eat. I usually handle pain well. I’m worried that something is wrong, what is causing the pain?

A: Hard to say, best to go back and see your doctor if you are worried. It might be totally co-incidental and nothing to do with your IUD.

Q: Lower back pain, stomach pain and some blood in my phlegm. I am a smoker and it hurts to cough or breathe hard?
Hurts mostly when I breathe deep or move in a weird way. Hurts in both my back and front in same approximate position. I smoke dope and that is it, but not sure if that is it. I could have hurt it golfing and hurt my back, but would my stomach hurt in the same place (few inches lower than breastbone)??

A: If you are coughing up phlegm and blood from your lungs, you need to see a doctor immediately, as you may have lung cancer. The phlegm isn’t really such a big deal, it’s the blood that worries me. If you’re coughing a lot, that might be where the pain is coming from, but it might also be something else.

I can’t stress how badly you need to see a doctor for that. I was coughing up phlegm from my lungs for a week and when I got to the doctor it turns out that I have pneumonia right now, and I’m really sick because I should have gone sooner. If the meds don’t work, looks like they’re going to have to give me a shot in my backside, which really doesn’t seem pleasant at all. The sooner you go, the better.

Q: Why do I have back pain & stomach cramp when I eat?
PLEASE HELP ME! I’m IN Serious Pain. In the last 5 days I started experiencing stomach pain & cramps when I eat. Its feels like the food is stuck, I usually have to take sip of water. I feel sharp pain in my back when I eat also. Its strange because I only feel pain when I eat. I think its getting better with time, but I’m not sure if will go away. What are these symptoms of? So far I haven’t found any illness that matches my symptoms?

A: Could be your gallbladder. That is what that sounds like especially if it is intermittent and has been going on for a while. Also likely if it gets worse when you eat fatty or fried foods. Get to a doctor. Hopefully a G.I. doctor. Ask about: Ulcer, Gallbladder, Appendix, Hernia, Diverticulitus, Food Allergy, and Lactose intolerance Good Luck

Q: can occur off and on stomach and back pain in first month pregnancy?
My wife is one month pregnant and she is feeling off and on stomach pain and waist pain from few days and sometimes the pain is severe for 1 or 2 minutes and sometime she feels normal. This pain occurs 3 to 4 times in a day, what should i do?

A: nothing it is very normal, u tend to get all these symptoms due to pregnancy as body start changing its shape so don’t worry and can’t do much about it as u cannot afford to have Strong medicines that can harm the child inside i myself had back pain and joints pain through out my pregnancy.

Q: I am 9 days late and at the begining of last week I had nausea, upset stomach, back pain. Can I be pregnant?
I feel fine this week. Except for stomach pains once in a blue moon. I have regular periods. And they usually come on the exact day or a least during the week that it is suppose to come.

A: You certainly could be pregnant with all of those symptoms including back pain. Back pain can start very early in your pregnancy depending on your hormone levels. Get a pregnancy test. Then read more about early pregnancy back pain here:

Q: Can I have lower left back and stomach pain from a gallbladder infection?
Ive been having like a burning feeling in my back for the last week and a half, and just last night my lower left part of my back started hurting. And today my lower left part of my stomach started hurting to. What could this be?

A: this sounds like you are trying to pass some kidney stones. make your self some strong lemon aid, and drink it 3 time s a day for 3 days if the pain is still there you may have to see your doctor. the lemon will help dissolve the stones so they will pass more easily if they are to large it will take medical help. hope you feel better. I just went though this too.

Q: 10 dpo and having back pain and little stomach cramps?
If I am pregnant, does this mean I am most likely to have a miscarriage with the symptoms so early?

I have heard that in real early pregnancy pains in the lower back and stomach could be the first signs of a miscarriage.. Is this true??

The cramps I have are more like a pulled muscle pain..

Thanks in advance!

A: Don’t panic or worry yet. If you start bleeding call your doctor.

Q: i have weird lower back pain and stomach cramps?
i am 20 years old, sexually active but on the pill im starting my seven day break today but for the past couple of weeks i have had back pain and stomach pain not every day though it comes and goes i don’t think its anything to do with my period as the pill calms them down. don’t know what it could be help please.

A: I would suggest going to the doctor, asking them. They’re the professionals! But from the sounds of it, it’s probably something Kidney related.

Most birth control pills require you to get blood tests every month.. I’m not sure why yours doesn’t. I would go to the doctor if I were you, if it’s kidney related it could be serious.

Q: Can you help? Why do I have severe stomach and back pain about 30min. after eating ?
I am afraid of eating as I have severe stomach and back pain after a meal. The pain stops about 2 hrs later with me going to the bathroom (mostly diarrhea). I had a blood test and everything seems fine other than the doubled eosinophil evel. This indicates a parasite but my doctor believes it is rather an infection. However, taking Metronidazole, Amoxicillin and Pepto Bismol for two weeks did not help. Any suggestions?

A: have you had your gallbladder checked?
